With the announcement of the January fixture TV schedule we now have confirmation of the Gameweek 18 and 19 blank and double fixtures.

So. First to detail what the ideal chip strategy would be with this.

A Free Hit in Gameweek 18 looks “almost” essential for this.

This means transfers can be made to bring in as many double GW19 players as you want and you can play your bench boost or triple captain in GW19.

BLANK GAMEWEEK
Burnley, Chelsea, Fulham, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Man U, Southampton, West Brom and West Ham.

NO BLANK GAMEWEEK
Arsenal, Villa, Brighton, Everton, Palace, Man City, Newcastle, Sheffield Utd, Spurs and Wolves

Ranked from BEST - WORST
West Ham - BUR, WBA
Leeds - BHA, SOU
Chelsea - ful, lei
Southampton - lei, lee
Leicester - SOU, CHE

Man United - liv, ful
Burnley - whu, liv

Which teams have the best fixture in blank Gameweek 18 to target on your free hit?

Man City vs Brighton
Tottenham vs Aston Villa
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
Newcastle vs Sheffield United
Everton vs Wolves

You will need to pick your 11 from these 5 matches in BGW18!

So to conclude on the strategy.

Ignore Gameweek 18 and play your Free Hit in this Gameweek.

Plan Transfers for Gameweek 19 so you have a lot of players who double in this week,
💭 However players you will also want longer term as well!

Currently it seems the best strategy is to
“Dead End” your team for GW18.
WILDCARD in Gameweek 19
