Getting a pic with Saint Nick is going to be a little different this year. Father Christmas may look a sprightly young fellow but he’s actually in an at-risk group for coronavirus (COVID-19). On top of that he comes into contact with hundreds of people every day. (1/4)
To protect him, and the people he comes into contact with, here’s what you need to know about getting this year’s photo:
🎅Many venues require a pre-booking so check with your local shopping centre beforehand. (2/4)
🎅Physical contact is not allowed this year, so you’ll need to stay 1.5 metres from Santa, his helpers and from other people in the queue.
🎅You can take off your mask for the photo with Santa, but please remember to keep it on at all other times. (3/4)
🎅Encourage children to stand 1.5 metres from other people when looking at Christmas displays.
🎅Avoid touching glass windows, display glass or store decoration stands.
On the plus side, this could be the year that you finally get a Santa pic with no tears. (4/4) #COVID19Vic

We acknowledge the stress and the worry that people have experienced during the public housing restrictions.
In the last few days Victorians have been showing us that they care about their neighbours. You have been reaching out with your concerns and offering help.
(1/5)
Now we’re reaching out and asking that you help us help them. We need to get messages to people in public housing quickly. We have people sharing the information onsite - but can you help on social media? Are you in a Facebook group with members of these communities? (2/5)
Do you follow them on Instagram? Can you reply to a tweet?
Here’s what we need to share with them:
ℹ️ Testing for coronavirus (COVID19) will be completed tonight, and results will be communicated soon

Here’s some up to date information on #coronavirus#COVID19 testing for Victorians:
