For the first time, we’ve published new experimental estimates on “long COVID”, looking at the prevalence of, and risk factors for, symptoms and complications following #COVID19 infection.

The provisional number of deaths registered in England and Wales in the week ending 4 December 2020 (Week 49) was 12,303.

This was

▪️ 153 fewer than Week 48
▪️ 1,608 more than the five-year average for Week 49

Of the 12,303 deaths registered in Week 49, 2,835 mention #COVID19 on the death certificate (23.0% of all deaths).
