9/It is no doubt that this budgetary execution will be absolute and comprehensive going by the competent team in the cabinet of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
1/We have flagged off the Imo State Waste Management Agency and equipment in line with the 3R mantra which is aimed at bringing back the lost glory of the State in terms of cleanliness and echo-friendliness.
2/All over the world, waste is wealth and so at the event, I disclosed that our administration went on Public - Private - Partnership to establish a waste recycling plant in Imo State to generate power and organic fertilizers.
3/Furthermore, the State government has moved to enact a bill for the establishment of a Waste Management Agency in Imo State to officially clean up the State and manage wastes.

1/IMO STATE GOVERNMENT APPROVES THE NEW MINIMUM WAGE
Gov. Hope Uzodimma in his 2021 budget presented today at the Imo State House of Assembly titled: BUDGET OF WEALTH CREATION which has a total budget amount of 346,169,972,082 and 14,120,082,285 mapped out for personnel cost.
2/The above figure represents 16% of the total recurrent expenditure budget and an increase in personnel cost is anticipated to accommodate the payment of new Minimum wage.
3/This further explains the welfare aspect of the 2021 budget of the shared prosperity government of Gov. Hope Uzodimma amongst other sectors. This clearly reflects the love of the governor for civil servants in the State.

The budget is titled: The Budget Of Wealth Creation.
2/It is structured to reflect the policy objectives of our shared prosperity administration, leveraging on the 3R of the NEW IMO development initiative.
3/I highlighted that the economic blueprint of the State is premised on a tripod vision of economic rehabilitation, reconstruction and recovery and also a roadmap for the post-covid-19 pandemic sustainable economic recovery and growth plan.

2/We are happy to announce that the National Universities Commission of Nigeria (NUC) has approved the take-off of Imo State University of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences in October, this year.
3/The Imo State University of Science and Environmental Sciences, Umuagwo, will take off by October when other universities would be resuming for a new academic session.
