The presentation of the 2021 appropriation bill to the Imo State House of Assembly (IMHA) captures the global KPI for GDP growth, with a focus on Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMSEs)

2/The budget has a firm focus on the growth and expansion of SMSEs within the State, as one of the alternatives to revenue drive.

3/In the face of the economic nosedive occasioned by the Coronavirus pandemic, promotion of a sustainable economic master plan is important for the sustenance of any economy.

4/This propelled the Shared Prosperity Government to roll out various empowerment programs in the course of the outgoing year.

Therefore, through this budget, a clarion call has been made and a partnership offered for a Public - Private involvement to move the State forward.

5/The massive job creation which will accompany this budgetary execution will not only put food on the table of those engaged but will impact on the IGR of the State massively, thereby enabling the govt to execute other projects for the benefit of the generality of Imo people.

6/The bedrock of the budgetary preparation lies on the Federal Government's Medium Term Expenditure Framework (MTEF) and Fiscal Strategy Paper (FSP). Under these assumptions, the budget is certified for optimum performance.

7/From the review of the strategies outlined by the Governor, it is evident that this budget is complementary to the existential Imo State government policies and programs.

8/There are various sectors of the economy revitalized by the Shared Prosperity administration for the stimulation and improvement of the economic growth.

Ndị Imo can leverage on this 2021 Budget of Wealth Creation to carve a niche for themselves.

9/It is no doubt that this budgetary execution will be absolute and comprehensive going by the competent team in the cabinet of Governor Hope Uzodimma.
