1/We have flagged off the Imo State Waste Management Agency and equipment in line with the 3R mantra which is aimed at bringing back the lost glory of the State in terms of cleanliness and echo-friendliness. 
2/All over the world, waste is wealth and so at the event, I disclosed that our administration went on Public - Private - Partnership to establish a waste recycling plant in Imo State to generate power and organic fertilizers.
3/Furthermore, the State government has moved to enact a bill for the establishment of a Waste Management Agency in Imo State to officially clean up the State and manage wastes.
4/The establishment of the Agency is needful to save money and create job opportunities in all the Local Governments of the State.
We will also aquire 10,000 waste bins from Innoson Group.

5/The tractors will be strategically parked at every market in the State as well as the waste bins.
6/To this end, a mobile court will be set up to penalize defaulters of the waste management laws and all those who fail to use the trash bins but litter the streets with their dirts. I encourage the public to make use of the waste bins to avoid been found wanting
7/Therefore, I urge Imolites to imbibe the habit of cleanliness and disposing their wastes at designated areas to avoid turning the State into a dirt zone and uninhabitable.
8/On this note, I appeal to the management to live up to their responsibilities and ensure speedy disposal of wastes. Our administration is ever ready to support the agency in making Imo State cleaner.
