Today @RepMikeRogersAL announced he is COVID positive.

He is the 49th member of Congress to be tested positive or presumed positive.

(NOT counting the 2 senators who were in vaccine trials and tested positive for antibodies.)

I looked at the stats a little...

House GOP: 14.8% of all members. (29 ppl)
House Dems: 4% of all members. (10 ppl)

Senate GOP: 15.3%. (8 ppl)
Sen. Dems: 4.2%. (2 ppl)

Summary: Nearly 4x as many Republicans in Congress have become infected with COVID as Democrats.
Should clarify quickly: Republicans have nearly 4x the infection rate of Democrats in Congress.

(The amount of cases is between 3x and 4x.)

- Were born in the 1940s, kids in the years rt after WWII.
- Went to private school for HS. (Biden got an on-campus job to help pay)
- Were of age but did not serve in Vietnam. (Biden got student deferrals, Trump a medical deferral for a "bone spur")

SENATE GOP COVID PLAN, what we know:

- LOWER PRICETAG possibly: GOP sources tell me it has a lower price tag, now $300 billion, b/c they added offsets. ($600 billion w/ $300 billion in offsets.)
- But need to see if this is real $.

As we've expected:

- Would increase unemployment benefits $300/wk per person thru end of year.
- And add new round of PPP for small businesses. Funding for about two months of expenses. For businesses with 300 or fewer workers.

SENATE GOP COVID PLAN. I'm also told:

- Postal service: $10 billion
- Child care: $10 billion
- A short-term, maybe two-year tax credit for those who give to private or religious schools for scholarships (Ted Cruz plan)
- Testing, tracing money.

BIDEN: Rioting is not protesting, looting is not protesting ... it's lawlessness plain and simple. And those who do it, should be prosecuted.

Violence will not bring change, it will only bring destruction. It must end.

6. We are reopening now.
7. Governors were not ready for the pandemic.
8. The federal stockpile had been reduced before me.
9. You soon will see vaccines pouring out, more than you would have. "V V soon."
10. We respected NC and came. Democrats didn't go to WI.
PRES TRUMP:

11. CSPAN gets a plug! POTUS says it was only place he could see and hear the roll call. (That or OAN.)
12. We are not taking "God" out of the pledge.
13. My poll numbers went up during Dem convention. (Daily approval, Rasmussen, went up 4 pts to 51%.)
PRES. TRUMP:

14. Democrats' use of mail-in ballots is one of greatest scandals ever. (Note: POTUS at times was clear, at others seemed to confuse and combine the idea of mailed-out ballots w/ absentee request forms.)
