DHOLAVIRA discovered by J.P Josi in 1966 on the Khadir Island of Ran of Kachchh, Gujarat
Dholavira appears to be most exiciting discovery with is Unique town planning .
The most important feature of Dholavira's town planning is the Water Management System.
Great care was taken to store every possible amount of rain water constructing a series of huge reservoir. Largest two major 73×29 & 33×9 carved out of massive rock.
The main supply came from two seasonal stream Mansar & Manhar whose water were slowed down by a series of dams.
One third area of Dholavira intended to conserved water. Due to that during monsoon the entire city must have been turned into a kind of Lake City.
Tarapeeth,Birbhum, West Bengal is best known as a Tantra VidyaTemple & its adjoining Maha Smasana (Cremation Ground) which make it special. It is the Sadhana Peeth of Maharshi Vasistha.
Tara Peeth is a Shakti Peeth, where the eye ball of Mata Sati has fallen.
Devi Tara is the fearsome Tanrik aspect of shaktism. It is revered as a siddha peeth which grants enlightment ,Wisdome & happiness.
Maharshi Vasishta worshiped mata shakti in the form of Tara. Despite all his devotion Sage Vasista was unable to have her divine darsan.
Finaly with divine guidance he visit this place & meditated in the cremation ground reciting 300000 Mantras.Maa Tara showed her divine self.Tarapeeth is known for wish filling place.
Temple has two pratima.The stone image depited as a mother is camouflage by 3ft metal pratima.
PANCHA KEDAR are five most revered shrines of Mahadev Shiva.
During Mahabharata period when Pandava searching Mahadev,He disguised himself as a Bull.When 2nd Pandava Bhima tried to capture the Bull it dissapeared at five location .These Five location r known as Panch Kedar.
The Pancha Kedar as Follows according to the body part of the Bull appears.
1. The Hump in Kedarnath
2.Arms in Tunganath
3.Face in Rudranath
4.Navel - Madhyamaheswar
5.Head appear in Kalpeswar .
These sites are located in serene environment of Gharwal Himalaya of Uttarakhand.
It is said that Bhima saw the bull grazing at GuptaKashi before it dissapeared.Bhima recognized it as Mahadev & immidiately try to caught it .But the Bull dissapeared in the ground. Thats why the place named as Guptakashi .Later the body parts appear in these Panch Kedar .
Nala constructed a magnificent bridge of 100 Yojanas over the Ocean

The ashlar style is used where stone slab are interlocked to each other without the use of any joining material.

A very unique Shivalinga,Mahadev Shiva standing on Apasmara in the Parasurameswara Temple in Guddimallam, Near Tirupati is consider as one of the oldest Shivalaya built in 3rd century BC.
Do you know the significance of Shiva Dancing on the Dwarf Demon Apasmara.
Apasmara also known as Muyalaka is a demon who represent ignorance,selfishness & nonsensical speech.He was dwarf but powerful in his malingnity , small-mindness & greediness.
Shiva wanted to kill Apasmara but he realised to preserve knowledge in the universe Apasmara must
be subdued not to k!ll. In a world without ignorance, all the knowledge would come to everyone with out any effort & dedication & hard work & would become valueless.
So instead of vanquish him Mahadev suppressed Apasmara by crushing him with his foot.

MANIKARNIKA GHAT is one of the oldest and most sacred Ghat on the bank of Ganga in Varanasi.
Mani means Gem & Karnika mean ears rings.
It is believed that one can attain Moksha after the Daha Sankar at Manikarnika Ghat.And also said that the death becomes painless here.
The earliest Historical reference found in Gupta inscription.
According to Purana the when Mata Sati sacrifices herself in the Yagnya Kunda of Daksha Prajapati Mahadev Shiva roamed in the entire universe with the body of Mata sati.
To decrease his sorrow of Shiva Shree Vishnu
Cut the body of Sati with Sudarsan Chakra.
And the places where the body part of Mata fell ,that becomes a Shakti Peeth.
Manikarnika Ghat in Kasi is one of the 51 Shakti Peeth where the Mata Sati's Ear Ornament had fallen.
