This variant has few amino acid changes that the media doesn’t give context on AND it has been around for a couple months- it’s just gaining traction now. I definitely suggest reading and sharing the post above. If you’d like a little more reassurance:

TLDR: these mRNA vaccines of ours utilize the whole spike protein- they make polyclonal antibody responses. This means that the antibodies your vaccinated body produces will be able to bind to the coronavirus spike in multiple places- not just one!
In other words, it will account for these slight variations/mutations that we might see. We have been very vigilant to ensure variants would not be resistant to these vaccines. These efforts by the UK are normal with virus spikes to control transmission.
Today Moderna and Pfizer who have both accounted for such variants of Coronavirus such as this one in the UK with their current vaccines, are in the midst of testing them on this variant for confirmation of these expectations for the public. I’ll keep you guys updated.
