2012-13: ₹7,84,652 Crores
2018-19: ₹7,83,183 Crores

2012: Highest Petrol price was ₹77.88
2018: Lowest Petrol price was ₹73.57

Value of imports almost the same in 2012 and 2018, Can we say congress looted the people?

Tamil Nadu in Dark & DMK sleeping over a turbine Shaft

Kodayur Dam & Hydro electric Project was taken up by TNEB in 1963 during the Kamarajar Regime. 65 MW Hydro electric power plant was commissioned in 1972. Image
In June 2004 the plant developed a major failure in the turbine shaft. By Aug 2004 temporary repairs was carried out and the plant was put in operation. By Nov 2004 decision to replace the shaft was taken & since Jan 2005 the plant was run under reduced load of 40 MW. Image
Subsequently there were issues with the proposal validly and later was amended by the supplier. Finally the PO was issued in January 2006. The contractor backed out in February 2006 citing increase in price. Briefly post this the DMK came to power.

Sun Network’s Profit after Tax grew from ₹269 Crores to ₹772 Crores during 5 years of DMK rule between 2006 and 2011.

The promoters (DMK family) own 77% stake in this company. (1/n)
2006, It was AIADMK leading in the pre poll analysis before the DMK’s Manifesto came out. Three main Poll promises: Free TV, 2 Acre land for every landless farmer & Farm loan waiver. I had already published on the farm loan waiver, Lands were never given, TV time now! (2/n)
DMK fulfilled their Poll promise of Free television Costing the exchequer ₹3687 Cr. TVs were even distributed to households which hasn’t received electricity. Anyways TV is not a commodity which has a shelf life. So it is still fine to burn ₹2.5 Crores in this process. (3/n)

The DMK & Congress Farmer Loan Waiver Model for Tamilnadu: How farmers were fooled!

After coming back to power in 2006, DMK announced Loan waivers for all farmers. Total loans taken in 4000 Co-operative societies was ₹6526 Crore.
TN Finance minister in his iconic Budget Speech of 2007 said the waived amount of co-operative loans would be reimbursed to the co- operative institutions in 5 instalments with 8 percent interest to ensure the continued functioning tnrd.gov.in/Announcement_p…
