Nobody beats you at being you.

You want to be the only person in the world who does what you do.
2/ Once You Have the Media, You Have the Pipes

Your content allows you to test whatever you want. Building a personal brand gives you the ultimate possibility to put out your content whenever you want.

Great content should provoke thoughts.
3/ Your Content Becomes the Product

You put out content, the content gets traction.

You then create a product to fulfill the needs of your audience and by doing so, you create new content.

A great example is @jackbutcher — by sharing proof of work he attracts even more fans.
4/ Bring Your Own Pipes

Rented media enables you to gain traction, owned media allows you to monetize your audience. To successfully build a personal brand, you’ll need both.

Provide tons of free value on Twitter or Instagram. Then, capture those emails for your list.
5/ A Vanity Metric for Deeply Insecure People

Followers are nice, but they don’t pay the bills.

Content that leads you to start a business out of it requires fans. Fans want to stay in touch with you and you with them.

You can build a business from 100 superfans alone.
6/ Following ≠ Audience. Audience ≠ Community.

Building an audience takes effort and time. Growing it to the next level requires even more work. A community is the holy grail.

Choosing one over the other can be a deliberate choice, just know which one you’re chasing.
7/ A Wealthy and Prosperous Future Lies Ahead

For those that are willing to put in the work and put themselves out there with a well thought out strategy.

Building your online presence and audience will be the currency of the future.

The best moment to start is today.
