@jkenney Kenney says the changes mean single people can celebrate the holidays with others, parents can host children.
@jkenney If measures were lifted for the holidays, Kenney says we would lose all the ground we've made in recent weeks and the health care system would be overwhelmed in short order and force widespread cancellation of surgeries.
@jkenney "Please do everything you can to avoid turning Christmas into a super-spreader event." says Kenney
@jkenney Kenney talking about delivery of second doses of vaccine,
6,825 will go to Edmonton and Calgary
1,950 will go to Red Deer
9,755 will go to 10 rural centres.
3,071 doses administered as of DEc. 21.

@jkenney@Distress_Centre Q: With COVID variant, is province looking at more measures for travelers, do you think it is already in Alberta?
A: Info we have there is no evidence variant is in Alberta or Canada, testing to ensure. Current measure will protect against it. Variant may spread faster.
@jkenney@Distress_Centre Q: How much of a role have the latest measures played in reducing COVID numnbers?
A: Individual day numbers are linked to testing. Good news cases seem to be stabilizing, but positivity rate still 7.2%, have to look at all metrics.
@jkenney@Distress_Centre Q: With second batch of vaccines, will second phase of vaccinations be moved up? How will contact tracing hiring be done by the end of the year?
