After the viral killing in Tarlac, a lawmaker calls for reforms in PNP operations and the need for body cameras.

Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon: After watching the video, I felt sorry for all parties. We should hold the perpetrator accountable and give the appropriate punishment.

Rep. Biazon: There will always be rotten tomatoes that will spoil the bunch. We know there are good cops, but it's the obligation of PNP to ensure that abusers are monitored.

Rep. Biazon: Mental health is an issue. There should be a process to monitor policemen regularly.

Rep. Biazon: In the AFP, pag may kaso ka, discharged ka agad sa serbisyo. Sa PNP, you retain your duty while undergoing trial.

Rep. Biazon: If we can immediately discharge soldiers, why can't we do the same for policemen? PNP's mandate is to enforce the law and they have daily interactions with civilians. Mabigat 'yung responsibility, dapat mabigat din 'yung kapalit.
