I don't like promoting ignorance, so instead of replying a stupid tweet I would rather take a screenshot and reply it here.

1. This idiot does not know anything about where I studied or how Nigeria made it more difficult for me. I left UNILAG Nigeria after 6 months #asuustrike ImageImageImage
2. After high school at 16y/o, I got into the University of Lagos, 2nd on the merit list to study Chemical Engineering. Having attended a rather private missionary high school abbreviated BMJS, little did I know that the Nigerian public tertiary institution will frustrate me. ImageImageImageImage
3. At the University of Lagos, in the first year, I remember having some general lectures whereby some sat on the floor, we were too many in one class room. ImageImage
4. My dormitory in UNILAG was Jaja hall, arguably meant to be one of the best male dormitories on campus, Mariere & new hall residents will argue otherwise. Each room had too many bunk beds and "squatters". ImageImage
5. Squatters had to sleep on the floor or shared a small bed with the person who legitimately got a bed, some people even sold their bed space which was legitimately assigned while others sold thier squatting space which each person was informally entitled to. Image
6. I remember a lively guy in my room named John who always looked forward to me cooking so he can eat from my food, he assisted in cooking sometimes, many students came from a poor family background and were left hungry and stranded at times.
7. The toilets and bathrooms was an eyesore. We had to wash our clothes manually and sometimes showered in the open space on the ground floor due to congestion in the morning. No warm bath except you had a kettle to boil water. ImageImageImage
8. I wanted to study medicine but was persuaded to study Chemical Engineering because of the untold hardship which took place in the public universities offering medicine. In addition, the oil industry is financially more rewarding. I salute all medical graduates from Nigeria.
9. When I speak against the atrocities in the Nigerian governance, rulership or the system in Nigeria and some pseudo-patriotic elements makes any remark about me benefitting from Nigeria, I will diligently continue blocking them.
10. There are many people who were not as fortunate as myself to leave Nigeria. Even outside Nigeria, it was difficult because I am Nigerian, that is a story for another day.
11. I stand with those who are exploited in Nigeria, even for those shortsighted or sponsored by the government because they are limited by their understanding.

Nevertheless, I will keep blocking antagonists as engaging them is an attempt to fill a basket with water.

I had a talk with a friend and he asserted that it will be difficult to liberate Nigeria from the state capture of politicians because of the astronomic level of poverty. I countered his thesis by citing other countries that emerged sucessful despite the high level of poverty. Image
How much will you be paid to counter the struggle for your own liberation, the people fighting for your future and that of your children born and unborn? Image
It just occurred to me that majority of the people who are poor enough to be exploited as counter-protesters are most likely not on twitter and this thread might be pointless. Hence, I rest my case.
