I had a talk with a friend and he asserted that it will be difficult to liberate Nigeria from the state capture of politicians because of the astronomic level of poverty. I countered his thesis by citing other countries that emerged sucessful despite the high level of poverty.
How much will you be paid to counter the struggle for your own liberation, the people fighting for your future and that of your children born and unborn?
It just occurred to me that majority of the people who are poor enough to be exploited as counter-protesters are most likely not on twitter and this thread might be pointless. Hence, I rest my case.
Are there organisations within Nigeria which are actively educating the grassroots about why their votes should not be sold or why they should not allow themselves to be hired as political thugs or counter-protesters ?

I don't like promoting ignorance, so instead of replying a stupid tweet I would rather take a screenshot and reply it here.
1. This idiot does not know anything about where I studied or how Nigeria made it more difficult for me. I left UNILAG Nigeria after 6 months #asuustrike
2. After high school at 16y/o, I got into the University of Lagos, 2nd on the merit list to study Chemical Engineering. Having attended a rather private missionary high school abbreviated BMJS, little did I know that the Nigerian public tertiary institution will frustrate me.
3. At the University of Lagos, in the first year, I remember having some general lectures whereby some sat on the floor, we were too many in one class room.
