Following WKRN :
this probably was a VBIED on a RV.
My initial estimate is several hundred kilos of explosives.
Probably not Accidental Gas/fuel expl.
Investigators have collected potential residue/evidence of the explosive device from a large area.
Mainly property damage.

Sweeps ongoing including help of dogs to locate possible secondary devices.
Police was present responding to a call, reason to call the bomb squad [which was not present at time of explosion?]
No info about anybody in the vehicle.
Prior to explosion there were gunshots heard in the area. Police was doing a door-to-door.
Police initially responded to a call about rapid gunfire in the area about 30 mins before explosion.
Some among public tell that they were terrified about that sound of gunfire, and were taking cover.
Police were expecting the vehicle to explode. #nashvilleexplosion
Early pic of the site
The burning vehicle was obviously close to the RV
Investigation area being extended
clarifying/correcting : police found reason related to the RV to call bomb squad : no info about what police actually detected.
Confirmed:
police initially on site because of a call reporting gunshots. Gunshots not confirmed by police, just the call.
