Happy to get e-Sampada, a single online Web Portal & Mobile App for management of all Govt of India Estate Services across India, launched by Hon’ble Minister, Housing & Urban Affairs on the Good Governance Day.
@MoHUA_India has implemented this in line with Hon’ble PM’s vision of minimum government, maximum governance. It will facilitate ease in accessing various services related to Govt Housing, Office Spaces, Holiday Homes, Ceremonial Spaces/ Accommodations etc. including litigations.
It will provide real time information about utilisation of assets- all services paperless & cashless, ensuring necessary ingredients of good governance viz. transparency, accountability, consistency & reliability.
This initiative is sensitive to needs under Covid-19 pandemic- no need to visit Directorate of Estates in person; even litigations can be heard online. All services accessible 24x7 from anywhere in the country.
It will be useful for our nearly 1.1 lakhs houses in 40 cities, 1.5 cr sq ft office spaces, 1200 rooms in Holiday Hones, so many spaces/accommodation for ceremonial functions like Vigyan Bhavan, 5 Ashok Road, Lawns etc managed as Govt Estates.
Citizens also get benefit of later two as per policy.

I heartily congratulate my team in Directorate of Estates & L&DO of @MoHUA_India & NIC for this initiative promoting ease & convenience.
We in the Ministry are fully committed to promote ease in living & doing business.

Prof Jan Gehl, renowned humanist urban planner from Copenhagen, Denmark, delivered keynote address at UMI Conf on 9 Nov 2020. Quoting case studies from Sydney, New York, Moscow & other global cities, he advocated ‘people first’ approach to urban planning
He has elaborated the transformation which has taken place in the last few decades in Copenhagen. Our cities face the kind of congestion, this city used to encounter earlier. If we focus on people-centric development, we make cities more liveable.
It is a challenge to Mayors, Municipal Commissioners, other municipal authorities & State Govt’s Town & Country Planning Departments to take lessons from this presentation & orient their cities development in this direction.

Visited Neela Hauz along with VC @official_dda, Addl & Joint Secretaries, Dr CR Babu & other officers this morning. It is a natural lake (wetland) spreading over an area of 3.9 hectares.
It was largely filled with malba during construction of Aruna Asaf Ali Bridge except for a small part filled with raw sewage coming from a drain originating from unauthorized colonies.

DDA has notified it as Neela Hauz Biodiversity Park & it is now fully restored to its original natural state of wetland ecosystem. The sewage now flows through a constructed wetland system developed and operated on zero energy budget.
