2020 was difficult but 2021 is a new slate, a blank canvas. What will you do to level up?

Whatever field you are in, the internet (accelerated by the pandemic) has opened up learning opportunities. Coursera, Udemy, Udacity etc - some of these are world class. #SaveAMan
1. Know WHY you want to learn to code: is it to be a data analyst or software developer or web developer or other? This influences your choice of "programming language".

Tip: Join #100daysofcode and set aside 1 hour a day for 100 days. Spend Day 1-10 knowing your WHY. #SaveAMan
2. Once you know your why, choose a programming language. Find a school/course provider (most of these are free): @DataCamp @dataquestio @udacity @udemy @coursera @pluralsight and subscribe to a basics course.

Tip: Spend Day 11 - 50 learning a programming language. #SaveAMan
3. Once you learn the basics, (or while you're learning), also work on some projects & build something. Start with easy things like building your own calculator & go up. Projects are most helpful part of learning code.

TIP: Spend Day 61-100 working on 4 or 5 projects. #SaveAMan
4. After 100 days of code, you will be well grounded. Start experimenting with more projects, joining networks etc. This way you get to meet other people learning to code

Tip: Listen to podcasts - Learn to Code With Me, Code Newbie etc. #SaveAMan
5. You never know where or how this ends but you have to start somewhere. The world has opened up and there are jobs & small tasks being outsourced worldwide that can be done from anywhere in the world.

Tip: Network (LinkedIn, Twitter, Upwork etc) #SaveAMan
6. Bonus: You don’t have to switch careers altogether. You can just pivot & learn to code & solve problems in your industry (health, education, engineering etc). Your domain knowledge can be a foundation.

Tip: Know your learning style & use the right resources to learn #SaveAMan
