What @Docs4GunControl did not realize is more ppl like me have started to pay attention. I shot firearms over the yrs but never had a licence, I did not agree with ar15s because they looked scary and all I knew was from movies. I kind of agreed with the anti side. #Cdnpoli

But never felt the need to get involved. It sounded good. I was not aware. Things changed with Bill c71. My firearms owning husband (the one who is supposed to kill me says the anti side including @Docs4GunControl, talk about harrassment) started speaking up. I started to listen.

Mostly because suddenly my husband was a killer, how did I know, and I was a slut just because I went to gun clubs. This type of argument has no substance and I knew that much, so what were they hiding from?

I started to look, become involved and researched. I have personally felt the threats and harrassment for being vocal. I started to see hypocrisy, gaslighting, bias which would be deemed racism but for skin colour, unadulterated hatred for just saying I don't agree.

I have been called many names, slandered and tried to be made ashamed. What they don't know is, I have been grossly mislead once in my life, something that won't happen again. I armed myself, opened my eyes past the rhetoric and looked at facts.

I have also since obtained both my PAL and Rpal as well as firearms. My fears were unjustified, propgated by those who would use my ignorance of the subject matter against my own intelligence. Shame on me for letting that happen. Flawed logic is not sound.

These ppl are no different then fundamental preachers saying I will do xyz for listening to metal, date an unbeliever or think outside of a very narrow box. Listen to us they say, we know better only amounts to keeping you in ignorance and at their mercy. I keep getting deja vu

The more they shout the less they say. We are very motivated to keep our property, the flip side is just handing everything over at a whim meaning we own nothing. To even fathom protecting what we work for is some how wrong is the most undemocratic thing you can say.

Men and women lost lives fighting to hold democracy for us. How dare a group of ppl dictate we have no rights and should shut up because they said so. No we are not staying quiet, we are getting louder and stronger and will fight whether you like it or not.

The gun lobby is not just ppl like the CCFR we are 2.2 million Canadians willing to stand up and say stop. We are moms dads grandparents, teachers business owners retired we are all colours shapes and genders. You can't brush stroke us to fit in your scary box anymore.

We want the end to violence, the end of gangs, threats, drug abuse and the life shattering repercussions of the mental health crisis. Wasting money on us won't help this. Witch hunts fail. @Docs4GunControl won't talk, won't discuss and won't debate. Yet we are bad and wrong.

Those that make you afraid are afraid themselves. Wise words to live by. As I read tweet after tweet from the anti side i see the truth in them over and over again.
