why people should be more focused on the houses your planet is in, versus what sign: aka let's talk about houses in astrology
Often times, I notice that we put more emphasis on our moon being in a specific sign, versus how it's being aspected or what house it's even in. Sure you might be a Sagittarius moon, but it's in your seventh house? You're more of a hopeless romantic than you'd like to admit!
So what do the houses mean? Why would I say something as bold as they might be more of where we should be emphasizing our attention versus what sign our planet is in? The sign is the language we speak, but the house is how we process or even speak through that language.
FIRST HOUSE: The first house is how we express ourselves, when planets enter this house (or how our ascendant is aspected) greatly depicts how the world sees us, and also how we unintentionally carry ourselves when we forget we are being watched or noticed by others.
SECOND HOUSE: This is how we put value into things, how we set the tone for other people to value us, and how we ALLOW other people to value us. This shows our relationship to how we spend and what we often spend on. Moon in the second? You're an emotional spender, join the club.
THIRD HOUSE: Having planets in the third house heavily depicts both how we communicate, but also perhaps the relationship we have with siblings. Don't have planets here? Look at the sign that rules that house, and then find the planet in your chart that rules the sign.
FOURTH HOUSE: If you use Placidus, this is typically the house of your Imum Coeli, but if you use whole-house - this is just the house that translates who are parents are to us, and how we feel about them. Fourth house in Aries with Saturn here? You raised your parents, congrats!
FIFTH HOUSE: This shows how we are as parents, or how we might be as parents one day. Our relationship with Children, and essentially marriage. But this is also an incredibly artistic house, depicting our self-expression and passion. This shows what lights us up.
SIXTH HOUSE: This is the house both of our work ethic, but also our health. How we nurture the things that feel like obligations, but also perhaps how we neglect the things we need to prioritize most.
SEVENTH HOUSE: This is the house of our Descendant (your descendant will always be the ruler of your seventh house). This shows how we are behind closed doors, with the people we feel the most comfortable around. This also depicts the kind of person we might choose as a partner.
EIGHTH HOUSE: This is the relationship we will have with debt in our lifetime. It's most popularly our relationship with our credit cards, and perhaps student loans. An empty house in Cancer, but moon in fourth? You'll most likely fall into debt to help your family.
(Side note on the eighth house: If you have Jupiter here, it is said you might come into a great sum of money in your lifetime.. If you have Venus here you might marry rich!)
NINTH HOUSE: This is the house of our higher education, intelligence, and our philosophy on life. Chiron in this house often depicts someone questioning their intelligence a lot (when they shouldn't). This depicts how we like to learn or what we might be interested in learning.
TENTH HOUSE: This is the house of reputation and also careers. This depicts the kind of work we might want to do in our lifetime or the career that could bring us fulfillment (this is also how we'd like to appear to our colleagues).
ELEVENTH HOUSE: This is the kind of activism work we are interested in doing, the friendships we have (if you have Saturn here you might have few friends because you feel more dedicated to ppl than you feel they are with you). This is ALSO how we are online (who we are online).
TWELFTH HOUSE: This is the house of our hidden enemies, subconscious, spirituality/beliefs, and underlying conditions/illness. Be aware of the sign of your twelfth house, because this is the house of your ~hidden enemies~ so often you can be mesmerized by what you should avoid.

leo mars ➫ the master thread
Leo is ruled by the Sun, so when the planet of ambition, drive, and sexuality enters Leo this can be an incredibly larger than life presence. A Leo mars person is incredibly dedicated to their commitments, but they respond more to their desires than any other mars sign.
A Leo mars person is fueled by what keeps their adrenaline going. They're very cat-like, calculated and intense. They're constantly trying to make sense of the world around them and find their purpose in it. But, they often go for temporary fixes over long-term solutions.

virgo mars ➫ the master thread
When Mars enters Virgo, the planet of sexuality and passion takes on an intellectual approach. As Virgo answers to Mercury, Virgo mars people need to thoroughly examine everything before deciding if it's worthy to pursue.
Virgo mars people are methodical with their pursuits. If something doesn't feel thought out, they might become a bit put off by it altogether. They need structured plans, and often get upset if even the slightest thing goes off course.

aquarius venus ➫ the master thread
When AQUARIUS enters Venus, it answers to Saturn (and arguably Uranus). Because of this, the need to be disciplined and governed by routine is conflicted with needing to dismantle everything they know and pave a new path for themselves.
In love, an Aquarius Venus can find themselves drawn to the underdog. They notice the small details that we as a society sleep on. They want someone for their soul and care very little about how they look or how much money they have.

libra moons ➫ the master thread
First let's start with the facts, like Taurus - Libra energy is ruled by the planet Venus. So when a person has Libra as their moon sign, their moon is inherently answering to the planet of love, beauty, value, and worth. These are central points they carry through life.
Where Taurus is rooted in their belief system, Libra is flexible to the point of molding themselves to putty if it were to please the people they care about pleasing. Libra moon people are some of the most romantic, generous, loving, and naive people out there.

gemini moons ➫ the master thread
First let's get down to the basics: Gemini is co-ruled by the planet Mercury. Mercury masters intelligence, communication, technology, and your overall way of understanding and interpreting things. Mercury ruled energy is restless, enthusiastic, and always wanting to learn more.
When mercury energy resides in the moon: Gemini moon people struggle to make sense of their emotions. They are rooted in the core belief that they have to rationalize everything to process it fully. They can downplay their feelings because of this.
