LPG Cylinder Hike: Why the Media isn’t giving us the entire detail?

The price of 14 Kg Subsidised domestic cylinder was increased from ₹610 to ₹710 in chennai and other parts of the country as well. Undoubtedly, it is a pain but why was this hike brought now. (1/n)

திமுக தான் விவசாயிகளுக்கு இலவச மின்சாரம் வழங்கியது: இன்னொரு பொய்

விவசாயிகளுக்கு இலவச மின்சாரம் 01.04.2004 முதல் அதிமுக அரசால் வழங்கப்பட்டது. இது 01.04.2006 இல் SFS (சுயநிதி) பிரிவு விவசாயிகளுக்கும் நீட்டிக்கப்பட்டது. திமுக ஆட்சிக்கு வந்தது மே 2006 இல்.

திமுக உண்மையில் செய்தது 2016 அக்டோபரில் Jesus Callsக்கு கட்டணத்தை HT III இலிருந்து HT II B ஆக மாற்றியது தான். இதன் காரணமாக TNEBக்கு மாதத்திற்கு ஒரு யூனிட்டுக்கு ₹1.5 இழப்பு. Jesus callsக்கு தற்போது தமிழ்நாட்டில் 34 மையங்கள் உள்ளன. HT II B கல்வி நிறுவனங்களுக்கானது.

ஆண்டு வாரியாக வழங்கப்பட்ட விவசாய மின் மானியம்

🔌2010-11: 271.80 Cr (திமுக)
🔌2016- 17: ₹ 3,336.77 Cr (அதிமுக)

சக்தி இல்லை, கோரப்பட்டபடி இலவச பம்ப் செட்டுகளும் தரவில்லை. மானியங்கள் அதை மட்டுமே குறிக்கிறது.

DMK Only Gave Free Electricity to farmers: Yet Another Lie

Free electricity to agricultural consumers was given in 01.04.2004 under AIADMK government. It was extended to farmers under SFS (Self Financed) category in 01.04.2006. DMK came to power only in May 2006.

What DMK really did was Converting Jesus Call’s Tariff from HT III to HT II B in October 2016. By virtue of this TNEB lost ₹1.5 Per unit per month. Jesus calls currently has 34 Centres in Tamilnadu. HT II B is actually for educational institutions.

Tamil Nadu in Dark & DMK sleeping over a turbine Shaft

Kodayur Dam & Hydro electric Project was taken up by TNEB in 1963 during the Kamarajar Regime. 65 MW Hydro electric power plant was commissioned in 1972.

In June 2004 the plant developed a major failure in the turbine shaft. By Aug 2004 temporary repairs was carried out and the plant was put in operation. By Nov 2004 decision to replace the shaft was taken & since Jan 2005 the plant was run under reduced load of 40 MW.

Subsequently there were issues with the proposal validly and later was amended by the supplier. Finally the PO was issued in January 2006. The contractor backed out in February 2006 citing increase in price. Briefly post this the DMK came to power.
