it ought to be easy for personalities promoting #ForceTheVote to say "I support the effort, this is a good idea, I give Jimmy credit, but what he does now is over the line."
that would be "separating the message from the messenger", not acting like one guy's twitter defense team.
seriously, these ppl listen to Jimmy's ravings, nod along, cackle, pile on every critic, act like Dore's publicists, and then will tell you "why ppl making it about Jimmy". who made a strategic disagreement into a litmus test on "standing between you and healthcare"?
btw "separating message from the messenger" is a good rule in intellectual disputes, but they've branded this as a movement, and Jimmy's raving as "agitation".
well, actually minding how you talk to ppl is kinda big part of effective agitation, not "tone policing".
go outside twitter bubble, and see how constantly screaming "eff you, we'll rip you to shreds, you have it coming" works with normal ppl.
screaming at progressive electeds and media personalities works as a brand promotion strategy, not mobilizing popular support for m4a.
it's kinda funny, if you tried to imagine a perfect m4a pressure campaign, you'd make every single thing about it the opposite of FTV:
- focus on organizing in districts, not posting and going on each other's shows
- try to reach ppl outside of progressive media ecosystem
- put a pressure on the party leadership and all co-sponsors of m4a bill.
when you only go after ppl perceived by the general public as the strongest advocates for your cause, and media ppl you have beefs with, normal ppl think "left is eating their own, how typical".

Jimmy slamming DSA and Nurses Union, for organizing for m4a, instead of yelling at AOC and showing up at her house:
"we do not need to organize more for Medicare for All. The whole country is for it. don't let anyone tell you that. Now it's time to threaten ppl in power."
you start with forcing your dubious procedural strategy as a litmus for progressive electeds and media personalities, you end by actively discouraging ppl from organizing support for m4a, and smearing activist.
btw, Jimmy knows he's selling ppl snake oil.
here he is, saying that the beauty of Tulsi's "Medicare for All Who Want It" plan is that it keeps private insurance, cause if you take it away, "you can talk ppl out of m4a":
To all idiots who learn history from "300":
A) Spartans rather famously got beaten by Theban SJW squad.
B) There is no such thing as "ethnic European". The "All whites are created equal" mindset is an entirely modern invention.
Even in US a hundred years ago, many 'Europeans' don't pass for 'White':
In 1911, a government commission broke the population into “45 races or peoples among immigrants coming to the United States, and of these 36 are indigenous to Europe.” politico.com/magazine/story…
Not to mention the European "racialists", who all thought that the Nordics are superior to "Mediterranean races", let alone Slavs.
Another Saturday, another Jimmy Dore livestream.
Some ppl in superchat have doubts about Tulsi and her connection to far right Hindu nationalist.
Jimmy: If there is one thing I don't care about it's India. Why should I care?
Tulsi hangs out with fascists, Jimmy sees no problem.
Jimmy's ranting about a person on twitter, calling her 'scum' and 'race monger' for pointing out that David Duke supported Tulsi Gabbard for Secretary of State.
Jimmy compares it to Trump endorsing Pelosi for Speaker, saying that both Tulsi and Pelosi can not answer for douchebags they have no control over, supporting them.
That's hilarious, cause I distinctly remember Jimmy using it against Pelosi, just a few weeks ago...
