From trump's opening lines, very first remarks, in the 1-hour call is this
"We won very substantially in Georgia. You even see it by rally size, frankly. We’d be getting 25-30,000 people a rally, and the competition would get less than 100 people. And it never made sense."
Lol.
"You know, every single state, we won every state. We won every statehouse in the country. We held the Senate, which is shocking to people," Trump says on the call, not realizing how much this undermines his own argument of rigging by the Dems.
It's kinda astonishing just how many times Trump does his 'people are saying' 'people tell me' BS routine to Raffensperger on the call. Someone who
s been in as many court cases, on both sides, as Trump still doesn't get his unnamed 'people say' literally has no value whatsoever?
"You know the Internet? You know what was trending on the Internet?" is a real sentence uttered by the president of the United States in a conversation with a top state election official.
Imagine being Raffensperger - because of Trump, you and your wife have received death threats simply for doing your job. And then you sit silently & listen to him droning on at you about internet conspiracy theories for an hour, and then just politely respond. I couldn't do it.
This Trump line from the audio will be part of his epitaph:
"Oh this isn’t social media. This is Trump media. It’s not social media."
Germany: We chose Cobb County because that was the only county where there’s been any evidence submitted that the signature verification was not properly done.
Trump: No, but I told you. We’re not, we’re not saying that.
Mitchell: We did say that.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Why don’t you want to find this, Ryan? What’s wrong with you? I heard your lawyer is very difficult, actually, but I’m sure you’re a good lawyer. You have a nice last name."
Trump to Raffensperger's lawyer, Mr Ryan *Germany*
So random. So Trump though.
"So what are we going to do here, folks? I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. Give me a break"
Mob Boss/U.S. President Donald J. Trump on tape with the Georgia Secretary of State and his lawyer.
"We won the House," Trump declares to Raffensperger.
(The GOP did not in fact win the House. The president is deluded and/or dishonest.)

I have to say that I’m only two episodes into the new season of @CobraKaiSeries but @WilliamZabka is, once again, hilarious. Forget the karate, his comedic timing is superb.
The John Kreese backstory is good, too
Watching Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso in the mechanic’s properly brought back memories of my childhood in the 80s. So soon after the Mandalorian finale, I feel utterly nostalgic and utterly spoiled. :-)
This year one of the only silver linings of the awful pandemic and lockdowns is that I finally got time to bingewatch a bunch of TV shows I should have watched before, lol.
Top of the list: 1) Ozark 2) Battlestar Galactica 3) Star Trek: Discovery 4) The Boys 5) Madam Secretary
Weird thing about binge watching multiple seasons of a single show in a couple of weeks, sometimes less than a week, is that you become obsessed with a bunch of characters that you were supposed to spend years getting to know & then you have to say farewell to them so quickly (!)
Actually I caught up on so much telly in 2020 that I forgot I also binged and loved @CobraKaiSeries and also liked Star Trek: Picard. And Designated Survivor and The Good Fight.
"It was as if my very presence in the White House had triggered a deep-seated panic, a sense that the natural order had been disrupted...For millions of Americans spooked by a Black man in the White House, [DJT] promised an elixir for their racial anxiety" cnn.com/2020/11/12/pol…
"Through Palin, it seemed as if the dark spirits that had long been lurking on the edges of the [GOP] - xenophobia, anti intellectualism, paranoid conspiracy theories, an antipathy toward Black and brown folks - were finding their way to center stage." cnn.com/2020/11/12/pol…
Obama is right to highlight #racialresentment over #economicanxiety when it comes to the GOP's messaging. He's also right to highlight the role of Palin, and of course by extension the hallowed John McCain!, in the run-up to Trump, as I have argued here: theintercept.com/2018/08/27/hol…
In case you’re wondering, I am at my naturalization ceremony. I’m becoming a U.S. citizen this morning, a dual U.S./UK national. It’s a socially-distanced ceremony but no welcome video from Trump @kumailn, just a letter.
Here’s the ‘fellow American’ welcome letter from Trump that I got. It’s not bad, by his standards. But he obviously didn’t write it - not just because of the pro-immigrant sentiment but also...there are no typos or spelling errors in it. I’m so used to his random Capitalizations.
Nice pivot from Supreme Court to Affordable Care Act from Biden right at the outset.
Good.
Amy Coney Barrett is anti ACA, says Biden. Boom. Pre-existing conditions. Boom. Insurance companies. Boom.
So far, so good.
"We're not elected for three years," says Trump, from the party that insisted Obama was only elected for three years, when it came to the Supreme Court.
