Please mandate masks in FCS

Many people in our community are anxious about returning to F2F learning on Wednesday with no policy changes made to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

This includes teachers, school administrators and other FCS staff, as well as students, parents and other members of the general community.

Many teachers and FCS feel “unprotected” and “undervalued”
4/

Without a mask mandate, teachers are powerless to protect themselves and the other students.

Responses FCS teacher have received from students: “I don’t have to”, “My body my choice”, “My mom/dad said you can’t ask me that”

What are we teaching our children? Is this the type of disrespect we want to instill in them?

@DrJeffBearden, you have stated many times that you believe the science. The science says my mask protects you, your mask protects me.

Please use the authority that @SuptWoods gave you on 8/7/2020 and mandate masks so that we can all protect one another the best we can.
