Regardless, misinformation needs to be addressed. If we can’t agree that a problem exists, we aren’t all invested in solving it.

For instance @DrJeffBearden, you have advocated for masks since August. Would you be willing to explain to the parents of our district why you feel this way? This is a comment from a FCS parent. It's just one of many. 3/
I know that being accused of making politically-based decisions has been frustrating for you, @DrJeffBearden, but it’s impossible to deny that the majority of parents/students/staff who refuse to wear masks have been politically influenced. 4/
We are, unfortunately, living through one of the most politically divisive times of our lives. The anger, resentment and vitriol are inevitably transferring from us to our children.

Our kids deserve better. We need to emphasize the importance of civic responsibility and mutual respect.

Many people in our community are anxious about returning to F2F learning on Wednesday with no policy changes made to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

This includes teachers, school administrators and other FCS staff, as well as students, parents and other members of the general community.

Shared on FB by @AJCGetSchooled, nearly 1000 Paulding County parents already signed a change.org petition for the district to NOT mandate masks. @DrJeffBearden@FCSchoolsGA you have pandered to the same folks in FOCO. Examples in thread.

These comments are from a public Facebook post by @FCSchoolsGA. We all know that there are hundreds out there just like them. 2/
You’re right @DrJeffBearden, you can’t make everyone happy. Honestly, that shouldn’t be a priority over the health & safety of staff & students. This mother has a clear problem with the language you’ve chosen. You’ll see more evidence of this. 3/
