In 2019, @PhilipJSantang1 et al. studied how the mRNAs (in this case, yellow-fever vaccine mRNA) spreads in the body up to 28 hours post injection.
They used monkeys in the study and used PET-CT imaging to track location of the mRNAs over time.

I learned that:
1) mRNAs seem to be primarily localized in the injection site and lymph nodes by 28hr.
2) Dendritic immune cells have strong uptake of the mRNAs, and get activated and migrate to lymph nodes & interact with T- & B-Cells there, forcing them to make antibodies.

One has to smile when reading the last sentence of this section, and realizing that it's been finally falsified in 2020. Progress and research in mRNA vaccine including this paper is so inspiring. Wondering what promises it holds for cancer.
