@prosperity2022 and @AbiyAhmedAli and his cabinet are increasingly being associated with the protestant religion in that they might think Protestantism instils strong work ethics than Orthodox and Sufi islam do. The argument goes that Ethiopia might need a protestant work ethics.
There have been many discussions and dialogues on this issue at various level ranging from @martinplaut 's accusation of @AbiyAhmedAli trying to 'Pentecostalize' Ethiopia to social media discussions and dialogues. The origin of this theory goes back to Max Weber's classic work.
In 1905 Max Weber argued that the protestant religion values working hard for its own sake leading into the development of capitalism first in the protestant countries such as Northern Germany, England and the Nordic north.
While Weber's theory is still valued in social and human studies, its importance to account for the origin and development of capitalism has been undermined. You just need to look as China, Israle, Korea, Japan etc which are not protestant.
My take on Ethiopia: neither @prosperity2022 nor @AbiyAhmedAli are trying to impose Protestantism on Ethiopia. If anyone tries to do that, it would be a spectacular failure. Just remember 1622 when Emperor Susenyous attempted to make Catholicism an official religion.
The bottomline is most developed countries today share some features in common: freedom; democracy; and justice with strong political and civic institutions and structures. After the demise of #TPLF, at last we have a historic opportunity to move in that direction.@NeaminZeleke

@KjetilTronvoll Your thread echos the callous doom and gloom prediction by USIP "the largest state collapse in modern history." The operation has successfully been concluded and the hard task of winning the peace and national healing is underway.
There is no war in Tigray. The law enforcement operation has been concluded and the new administration has begun its work in Tigray. @AbiyAhmedAli reported this to the Ethiopian parliament. A war that does not exist cannot go unfettered as you seem to claim.
The is no active engagement in Tigray now. The Mekelle-Adigrat-Wukro road is open as we speak as is the Alamata-Mekelle road. You seem to be running an alternative reality here as are you claim of an election, which, apparently you were the 'sole international observer.'
