2. Here is Rudolf Valentino (left), W.S. Hart, and Douglas Fairbanks (right) in 1925. Look at the custom fit on Valentino's suit. Perfect fit. 
3. An expressive color photo of author F. Scott Fitzgerald. He's got a knit tie and what looks like a thick wool suit.
4. Two unidentified men sitting at ease. Look at the trousers. Pressed and creased.
5. Footballers pose in suits with their ball. It wouldn't surprise me if they just took off their jackets and played a bit.

8. I like this photo. Three ordinary fellows with straw boater hats. Dressed to the nines and locked arm-in arm.
