Many of my colleagues on the right are horrified by the Capitol under siege, but I am failing to muster outrage at the protesters. This is way beyond Trump. It's about lockdowns and tyrannical government.

Striking fear in politicians is not a bad thing.

NYT: China "has become one of the safest places in the world. The country reported fewer than 100,000 infections for all of 2020. The United States has been reporting more than that every day since early November."
NYT: "China resembles what 'normal' was like in the pre-pandemic world. Restaurants are packed. Hotels are full. Long lines form outside luxury brands stores. Instead of Zoom calls, people are meeting face to face to talk business or celebrate the new year."

Sanjeev Sabhlok: The science has also always been clear. Even if this virus had been as bad as Spanish flu, lockdowns would not be a remedy. Innumerable scientific studies both before and in 2020 confirm that lockdowns don’t work and, instead, cause net harm.
So how did the world get it so wrong? The answer, hiding in plain sight, is: China. While the Great Hysteria was going on, Donald Trump went from an unlosable situation to fighting for his career.

Face masks must be worn during workout at Gold's Gym Venice Because Arnold Schwarzenegger complained evolutionofbodybuilding.net/face-masks-mus…
The majority of Gold’s Gym Venice gym members basically laughed at Arnold’s comments, but management seems to have taken them seriously.
Just a few days after Arnold’s comments, Gold’s Gym Venice management contacted their members notifying them that face masks MUST be worn during their entire workout.
Gold’s Gym Venice members are furious with the new rules and have been venting their frustration on social media.
