Just a few words about myself, since many of you are new to me. I have my own standards of judgment and conduct. Most of the time, I try to stay polite. Sometimes I don't. There are reasons for that.

If I judge you are being deliberately dishonest, I will act and speak accordingly. Since the pandemic began, end of February, there have been a million trolls, pretend-'sceptics', sociopaths, and, well, just plain gormless idiots. Some of them are all of those things.

Today, 1 in every 50 British people is infected with COVID19. So what, you say, that's 'only' 2%. Welcome to the world of:
a/ exponential growth.
b/ low number of ICU beds with enough real ICU staff.
Give you one guess what that combination means.

Media pundits such as @allisonpearson, who has been dumping on NHS staff for a long while, or @toadmeister, who has promoted every nut there, like @MichaelYeadon3, from an excess of convenience, have led many to believe there's no problem. That is a lie.

In the UK, you will soon face the reality of what governmental vacillation has wrought,. encouraged by those selfsame pundits who told you all it wasn't a problem. You will soon see what the reality of overfilled ICU's means.

Everyone has had 10 months to learn all the important things about #COVID19. By this stage, almost everyone who hasn't learned actually refused to learn, insisted on some bizarre alternate fantasy, played silly buggers the entire time.

I'm all about self-reliance, prepping, as well as about appropriate social response. By now, 10 months in, everyone should know the differences between the flu and COVID_19. Or what exponential growth means. Or that ICU staff are not just minions you can order to "DO SOMETHING"

Either you behave like an adult, actually engage with the issues, and recognize your social obligations as well. These are hard times for *all* of us.

Or you can try pretending, making stupid stuff up, or being sociopathic. Your choice. But you get treated the way you deserve.
