2/ White scholars and Christian leaders, as tempting as it is, it just won't do to soothe our consciences (thereby alleviating ourselves of responsibility) by declaring what we saw yesterday to be outside the bounds of what is actually "American" or "Christian."
3/ We have to own that this white supremacist madness is part of what we've allowed to persist within our country and our faith, so that we can work, finally, to end it. #WhiteTooLong
