reminder: rent-seeking corporations can do things that are completely legal but still illiberal.
and i agree with them, no one should be compelled to publish something. but watching people who want government to run everything suddenly champion the rights of corporations is funny. does their love of economic choice extend to health care insurance, or only books?
And if your answer is the First Amendment, I'm going to have to ask you to explain why it's ok for the state to force everyone to pay for abortions, including nuns.
Or why you -- almost surely -- are ok with "hate speech" laws.
and if it wasn't clear, I think Hawley's contentions were ridiculous. They almost always are.

As someone pointed out in my feed, LP is basically an organization that took money from Blue State liberals and sent it to Red State television stations (after taking a cut)
Should also be noted that 7 of 9 R senators outran (so far) Trump, so the down-ballot strategy was a complete failure.
I'm not saying Joe knew that or was sending any messages! Pretending your vote can change the world is dumb enough on its own.
I loved his books. But he did say things like : “There is a trait in the Jewish character that does provoke animosity”, he said. “I mean, there’s always a reason why anti-anything crops up anywhere; even a stinker like Hitler didn’t just pick on them for no reason.”
