Of course they are going to cancel Clarence Thomas and anyone else they want now. If Rs can't make distinctions and speak truths about the protests (gone terribly wrong, to be sure) the Ds will control the narrative. Which they already do, along with everything else.
Official Republican DC is in the process of canceling itself, even as it thinks it is saving itself. This is 1917 now. There is zero reason for ongoing purge to stop. And it won't. The distinctions to make are fairly simple, but one side has all the power, so saying them is hard.
If Rs can't say "no, this was not a coup but a legitimate protest that went tragically and foolishly wrong due to a number of bad actors" - you know, just say what the Ds have said for months - then it will be painted as a full scale coup/insurrection & used to purge the right.
Granted, there isn't much the right can do to stop the purge and the cultural revolution has long since begun. Most average voters on the right now know exactly what is happening, as do many moderates and Ds. But no one can say it. So there will be no big backlash in next 4yrs.
People in the USSR knew what was going down too. But they had no one to protect them. Sound familiar? The narrative about the sad events at the Capitol and what it is now justifying has no limits now, and the right isn't even trying to draw a defensive line.
What will happen next? Increasingly "mainstream" right leaning figures will get in line or be canceled too. There is no moderating principle to what the other side is doing, and about to do, on a larger scale than anyone imagined possible in the U.S.
This was a lot of stupidity combined with a some twisted people and it ended in senseless tragedy. It should be condemned and prosecuted fully. But the Ds right now—after this summer—are going all the way & saying what all know is insane. If Rs don’t draw line, there’ll be none.

Are you speaking to us to us via a time machine? Cuz’ that happened in 2008.
Do these people realize that we remember this even if they don’t?

I hate that what pseuds figured out was most likely with basic internet research in a week early last year can only now be validated b/c NY Mag published an article, thus giving obedient “educated” people freedom to explore a newly allowed possibility.

The effect is, 1 yr after the fact, to “de-politicize” the obvious, most plausible possibility that @zerohedge got banned from Twitter for pointing out early on. Of course, in truth this conscious decision is political, as is the power to “de-politicize” basic facts.
The ability to “de-politicize” or legitimate what is likely true/false & what is acceptable/unacceptable opinion=the difference btwn MSM v “alt” media. Silver lining is at no time in living memory has mainstream media been so distrusted. But much effort still needed to capitalize

The war is continuous: Trump’s opponents seek now to break him in the public eye even before he leaves office so they can more easily punish him & his family w/prison & destroy their wealth. Our angry/corrupt oligarchy & their useful lackies seek to justify the coming purge now.
Trump is being increasingly choked off from media & comms tech that will cover him and his surrogates; on the other hand, his opponents can never help themselves by refraining from pushing to the max against him and half the nation. And they now think they smell blood.
The result? It’s too psychologically exhausting for many to accept but the rift in America grows daily and this twilight period we just came through was a false and wishful calm for those who see it as such, or think Biden brings peace. Trump was beginning of an era, not an end.

The woke push is trans people as gods: mutilation of the body to attempt to transcend the reality of biological sexuality is a ritual to attain a kind of godlike status beyond good & evil. The more you do to eradicate sexual telos the higher the status in our satanic kingdom.
Sexuality must become wholly amorphous & the human will must destroy anything that might channel sex for higher purposes. They seek to empty all meaning & purpose/direction/fulfillment out of sex. Whoever is highest on top status hierarchy then demands all the rest give into them
This doesn’t just mean the eradication of the family (and with it, ultimately, in principle, humankind)—but a twilight world in which children will be considered just another group to be consumed at will by those who have transcended their nature and all sexual telos at the top.

The idea that Biden is going to govern from the center would be hilarious and pathetic if it wasn’t so dangerous. But the emperors wear less clothes in front the more people than ever before and the old world is still melting down no matter how they try to hold on.
“Center?” What does that even mean these days? I’ll tell you: it means the useful idiots go back to shilling oligarch-friendly policies. It means deep corruption is covered over with the rhetoric of polite company. It means using the buzzwords to say nothing while keeping power.
It means Rs go back to being the controlled opposition, trotted out every so often to put on a democratic show, like good little kept pets. It means the radical left is kept around like a junkyard dog to terrorize people, but via tacit approval and back channel negotiation.

I would recommend experiencing Christmas rather than reading about it. Let the workflow lag and allow the marvelous protective fog of the holiday protect you from the everyday. But, if you must...

Get off the screens & the twatter & talk to those around you & take an active interest in their lives. But everyone should read what is perhaps the most beautiful book ever written: The Gospel of Luke. It gets right to the reason for the season.

Or do yourself a favor and buy the best-selling Jesus of Nazareth: The Infancy Narratives by Joseph Ratzinger, otherwise known as Benedict XVI, and have a smart Pope explain it to you in a new light.
