4. Some of the trifling foolishness of the "clowns" may have been deliberate misdirection while the true operatives did their work. Just like a pack of pickpockets will employ someone to cause a commotion while they wok quietly in the background.
5. The Parliamentarian and his staff (many of whom are attorneys) provide guidance on arcane procedural issues. They are often in the shadows but can pop out. I am sure Trump yelled at his TV at them on occasion.
As you can see in tweet above, much of their research is deep down in the weeds of the legislation that Congress has passed, often in a bit of a rush and late at night.
As they say, you don't want to now how sausage and legislation are made.

On January 6th, in the ransacked office of the Parliamentarian, to lower right of screen, a pencil holder with:
* Early COVID-era Saint Patrick's Day 2020 shamock antenna headpiece and
* A perky and upright American flag, among the desceration
Some references to the Parliamentarian in his advisory mode.

2. Trump spend an hour spewing disjointed word nuggets and random threats, seasoned with momentary diatribes agains Stacy Abrams and obsessions with one election worker and her "lovely daughter" plus personal insults and ridicule of the Governor of Georgia.
"The President and some of his closest senior officials also disseminated misinformation that left the public less safe and more vulnerable to discounting the severity of the pandemic."
