This mass banning of Trump was planned, Alex Jones was the wargame in preparation for it.
They expected an exodus of users, they just didn't expect an EXTREME exodus. One so huge that alternate socmeds are crashing from the traffic.
Your follower counts dropping isn't just people getting banned, it's also people fully deleting their accounts and moving over to the competitors. They have had enough censorship.
Silicon Valley then moves to remove such apps (like Parler) from the app stores to prevent this.
One reason for it is Silicon Valley for far too long have rested comfortable in their market dominance, Youtube, Twitter and Facebook have become brand household names, they are like the Coca-Cola of the internet, not just significant in the market, but in culture.
Silicon Valley for a very long time have actively sought to damage competitors so they can keep this market dominance because without competition, you have no need to please your users as there isn't a viable competitor for them to go to where they can have the same experience.
But there is another reason for this need to desroy competitors that is not often spoken about.
Silicon Valley controls the flow of information for most of the English speaking world. Over the years we gradually evolved to not talk to the person sitting next to us on the bus..
But instead look down at our phone and talk to other people online. That's just the way things were going. The internet became everyones new social life.
Now, during a year when we are not allowed to leave our homes, it's become our ONLY way to communicate.
This would be the ideal situation for any authoritarian, there is a single way that people can communicate, and you control it. With enough time you can completely alter the way people think and feel by showing them only the information you want them to see.
Facebook actually did experiments with this.
And this is where the panic from Silicon Valley has come from, they don't want just to keep their monopoly, they want to keep their control of the flow of information so they can shape what everyone thinks, the way they see fit.
So over the next year, payment processors, web hosts, pretty much all the things you NEED to be a competitor, they will all back out of competitors and cause them to collapse.
After that pretty much every website that hosts such views will get the same treatment.
The reason that Silicon Valley is panicking about this exodus is every person who leaves their site is one less person they can influence. That's why they are trying to make sure no one can use any other service.
Trump had 4 years to deal with this and absolutely fucked it.
Democracy becomes absolutely meaningless if you are only allowed to hear one side.

People are misunderstanding why people are angry about this.
For the last 4 years Twitter has allowed Antifa accounts to organise protests and make death threats as well as left-wing politicans have also encouraged demonstrations that lead to violence and arson.
The BLM riots/CHAZ lead to multiple deaths as well as millions in damage, yet those things were encouraged, coordinated and organized through twitter.
Twitter never acted on any of this. And we know why, it's because these things were in line with their beliefs.
So for everyone saying "But Trump broke the Twitter rules" yes you could argue he did, but so did all the other people calling for violence for left wing causes, and they were totally let away with it. They are all still here.
The tattoo on that guys hand is not a hammer and sickle, it's "The Strangers Mark" from the video game Dishonored.
The second guy does not have "the pedo symbol" or a "white supremacy symbol" it's a valknut. It's a viking symbol.
Fucking calm down.
The other two tattoos he has are a blacked out Mjolnir (Thors hammer) and a Crann Bethadh (tree of life) which is actually a celtic symbol from my culture.
Cyberpunk 2077 : Good story, but it's nowhere near as RPG as promised. I made jokes all the time that "if a futuristic Skyrim ever comes out, you will never see me again" but the RPG elements felt so barebones that I just couldn't get immersed. It's an okay game, just a letdown.
Watch Dogs 3 : Fucking abismal, they stripped away so much stuff (weapons, grenades, vehicle ownership, the iconic blackout hack) plus gave you a bunch of totally random characters literally created by RNG, literally, one of my characters is an indian guy with a Jamaican accent.
