We MUST root out and identify these treasonous people in Canada to prevent them from committing the same violent insurrection here.

This is not a witch hunt. This is preventative measures to secure our nation.

McCarthy was after anyone who didn’t think and believe as he did.

This is vastly different! The people McCarthy vilified and demonized were innocent of the accusations he made.

These people are not innocent. The far right have been actively obstructing covid measures for months & chipping away at democratic norms and principles for decades.

When your campaign slogan is “Take Canada Back” and like minded provincial premiers block the use of the Emergency Act to limit federal powers to protect people during a deadly pandemic, that’s not democracy. That’s lunacy and treachery.

There are no limits for the people who seek power and control. And this behaviour is not limited to the CPC.

NDP and Block Quebecois aided conservatives in blocking the Emergency Act from being invoked. Both piled on during the WE scandal. They continue to take pot shots.

This is real life. Every delay in funding, every obstruction of government legislation, every stymied attempt to make progress on covid is the result of warring demagogues attempting to claim power.

We are in the middle of a deadly pandemic. Six premiers have made the spread of covid much worse. People are being infected in droves. More die every day.

To own the Libs!?!?

And the public is so apathetic there is barely a rumble of complaint.

We could have been like the Atlantic provinces. Basically covid free, a few restrictions but an operational economy.

Nope. Six premiers couldn’t wait to open up again in May. When another 4-6 weeks would have made us Australia or New Zealand: free of covid.

That is willful obstruction of public health measures and a political revolt from six premiers who refused to enact public health measures that protected the public.

While not a violent insurrection, there have been several deaths caused by these premier’s actions.

That’s reality folks. Six premiers put their own power aspirations before every Canadian. Six premiers have exacerbated covid to the point that an extended lockdown is the only way we will be able to rid this nation of this disease.

The time you have already spent away from your family, friends & loved ones has all been for nothing. The taxes spent to sustain Canadians and Canadian businesses. All wasted! Because six premiers felt it encroached on their power for feds to coordinate an appropriate response.

That’s reality. That’s the level of depravity we live with daily. This is not normal.

It was not normal for Greens and NDP to plan for a minority government. That was about consolidating their own power.

We’ve all watched as Singh maligns the feds with false criticism and then acts like all ideas are NDP ideas because the minority government relies on NDP to survive confidence votes.

That’s called framing or staging an event. Shaping perception. It’s what demagogues do best.

Take credit for everything good that happens and then point fingers at your main opposition for every failure they themselves make.

Kenney does the same in Alberta. He takes credit for covid responses funded entirely by Feds.

That’s propaganda 101.

The people who use these methods are demagogues. They have abandoned democracy and are chipping away at the electorate’s trust in established institutions.

This has been happening for decades. And will continue unless the electorate says no more.

Make your voice heard. Never again is now. We are hanging over a precipice. We’ve just watched our closest ally fall of the cliff. They’re currently in free fall. We know what happens when they hit the rocks on the bottom.

We have the opportunity to prevent our own fall.

But it takes effort. And it requires you to voice your opinion.

Stop allowing populist demagogues to hold us hostage to a deadly disease. Stop allowing opposition to lie and deceive with impunity.

Stop voting for change and demanding change be permitted to progress.

Stop enabling six premiers to instruct covid measures and demand they protect the public appropriately or allow the feds to take over.

Stop grumbling about the far right anti-maskers, church followers and people (politicians) who ignore covid restrictions to go un-reprimanded.

Every spreading event extends our isolation from each other and keeps us under easy autocratic control. And that is what we are living. Autocratic governance. Your freedom remains elusive every time someone breaks covid measures and more people get infected.

We already have several politicians using covid to consolidate and maintain power and control. Just like Trump and his crony governors have done in the US.

You don’t think they’ve considered violent insurrection to keep it permanent? Please don’t be that naive.

Demagogues want one thing. Power. It’s in the job description.

They have the power to make us safe. But they are not using it to protect people. They’re using it to maintain their power. We don’t matter to them. Any more than Nancy Pelosi mattered to that Q’Anon congresswoman.

We are as expendable as the “domestic terrorists” that stormed the Capitol. We are as irrelevant as the police officer who died from being beaten with a fire extinguisher.

And until we tell our provincial leaders and federal opposition otherwise, we will remain insignificant.

Speak up now and identify those who obstruct covid measures. Speak up now and denounce demagoguery and obstructionism from federal opposition.

Make your voice heard. That is democracy. If you want democracy, you’ve got to earn it to keep it.
