#BREAKING: Eric Gavelek Munchel, the 30-year-old Tennessee man known as “Zip Tie Guy” for his alleged involvement in the U.S. Capitol riots, has been arrested in Nashville.
Munchel is in the Metro jail on one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority and one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.
“He was a former employee but was terminated several months ago,” Steve Smith’s attorney, Bryan Lewis said of Eric Munchel (#ZipTieGuy), previously employed at Kid Rock’s Honky Tonk on Broadway. “Smith nor any of his organizations condone or support the actions that took place.”
