Iran's Makran forward base ship joins the country' naval fleet. Iran claims it's the first forward base ship in the Middle East. It's going to serve both the Army and cargo ships. It can carry up to 7 choppers, and be used for missile, drone, and e-warfare operations.

Makran used to be an old tanker, but was transformed into a forward base ship with 3-4 million dollars. The whole project has reportedly taken two months. But this version is going to be further upgraded in future.
