But forecasts are an expectation. You often need them to win pitches, or to get budget.
My aim with the course isn’t to shy away from the challenges. But to show you how you can embrace uncertainty & communicate it.
COURSE OUTLINE:
I got some excellent feedback on topics to include from a few experienced SEOs. 🙌
I added all of the feedback to @NotionHQ and consolidated the most common feedback into a broad outline - including some topics I was keen on including.
COURSE FORMAT:
I’ve opted for video vs an e-book. There’ll be some templates included, so it’s just easier to do video demos.
I’ve already started creating slides in @BeautifulAI_ and they’ll be exported to Keynote on final edit for transitions and subtle animation. 😎
COURSE PRICING:
I like the idea of reach > revenue shared by @tom_hirst
Pre-launch pricing will be $29 and will increase to $59 for launch. 🚀
'The thing about forecasting' presents the challenges with SEO forecasting, how to predict with your 'knowns' and where SEOs go wrong with forecasting.
These are the guiding principles for the whole course.

Drill down functionality in Data Studio is super useful for quickly seeing the keywords URLs rank for! 🔥
Thread 👇

You can drill down in the @ahrefs top pages report (which is great) but it's nice to be able to brand it in a Data Studio report and manipulate the data as you see fit.
Here's how I done it on a Danish website

From the organic keywords report, export as much keyword data as your @ahrefs plan allows. You can cleverly use the filters to remove keywords you don't want to be aggregated at page level. 💡
Starting from tomorrow I’ll be sharing 1 SEO tip/tool/advice per day for 30 days. ✌️
None of this is scheduled, so I’ll be thinking of something daily, alongside a gif (obviously). Hope you find them useful 🙏👇
1/30 a biggie; forecasting. Always start with your knowns.
For most of us that's historical data in GA.
You can start simple in Sheets with =forecast() and then apply a seasonality index from the average. Use that as the basis for developing ranking scenarios thereafter.
I've actually started this whole thread off with an error 😂 make sure your average is an absolute cell reference. Doh!
