I still don’t understand all this media heavy breathing abt McConnell and impeachment. all bc anonymous aides say he “supports” it??

folks, if McConnell agrees to bring back Senate for trial on Friday, that’s a big deal.

everything else is just window dressing
as of now, Senate trial will be after Trump leaves office. McConnell can change that if he really supports impeachment

NYT, WP, and Politico all rushed out stories assuming McConnell would be Senate leader during Biden's first term — they all assumed GA runoffs were layups for GOP
