Why release a YouTube video at midnight? Why not just go down to the 3p press conference? Why does reality feel like pulp political novel?
Also can we talk about who decided to film this cutting back and forth between two angles? Who is this director???
Piling bizarre upon bizarre, DOJ took the Rosen video down.
DOJ reposted the video here, but without the cuts back and forth to the second camera angle (!). h/t @amyfiscus
One notable thing in acting AG Rosen’s remarks: He lists all the people he talked to during and after the attack on the Capitol—DOJ subordinates, other agencies, congressional leaders, etc.—but unless I missed it he doesn’t say he spoke to the president.

The FBI introduces some interesting verbiage in this (terrifying) weapons case, calling the January 6th Capitol insurrection a “purported protest event.” justice.gov/usao-edny/pres…
Bill Sweeney in full swagger with this quote
Florea’s violent threats were made on Parler on January 6th. They targeted Senator-elect Warnock, who had just won his race the day before.
After airing her suspicions yesterday, Rep. Sherrill writes to request an investigation of House Republicans’ complicity in the January 6th attacks. Katherine Clark and Frank Pallone sign on as well.
There are more than 30 House D signers in total.

If you’re keeping score at home, this is the acting US Attorney who Trump appointed to replace the previous US Attorney who thought there was just nothing to claims of election fraud.
On what he apparently thought was a private call with his staff prosecutors—a recording was later leaked—the acting US Attorney still wouldn’t answer questions about the circumstances of his unusual appointment by Trump. ajc.com/news/trumps-pi…
Cheney becomes I believe the second House Republican to say publicly that she will vote to impeach Trump, following John Katko, a representative from Syracuse, NY.
“Let us stand by our duty, fearlessly and effectively. Let us be diverted by none of those sophistical contrivances wherewith we are so industriously plied and belabored - contrivances such as groping for some middle ground between the right and the wrong...”
“such as ... reversing the divine rule, and calling, not the sinners, but the righteous to repentance - such as invocations to Washington, imploring men to unsay what Washington said, and undo what Washington did.”
“Neither let us be slandered from our duty by false accusations against us, nor frightened from it by menaces of destruction to the Government nor of dungeons to ourselves.”
