Over the last decade, algorithmic pathways have been exploited by white supremacists. People who are sending you a text about stocking up because the grid is being shut down are further down the path to radicalization than most believe. Once they're in it, they tend not to leave.
Right now, it's a recruitment bonanza for QAnon people and white supremacists, who thrive on uncertainty and division. Those people deserve the law, not sympathy. Working to neuter those pathways is deeply important in ending white supremacist extremism.
