This is not what transracial means and having people do this puts real harm on transracial adoptees and is just racist. Transracial adoptees exist and our experiences shouldn't be redefined by people like you.

Transracial adoption is a term that has been around since the 1980s, referring to the colonization of BIPOC children into generally white western families. Our experiences around identity, culture, & biographical history are linked to the transracial adoptee identity.
Many transracial adoptees continue to struggle with their racial identities. Not because they want to appropriate another racial group but because they have been colonized into white families and stripped of their heritage. Some spend years regaining that connection.
Transracial adoptees have much higher rates of mental health issues and suicide. We have been dealt unbelievable trauma. So, stop using our terminology for your jokes or for your own racists gains.
