I use Twitter to amplify voices I appreciate, and sometimes I write threads. For easy access, I'm going to pin this list of the most popular threads I've written:

1) On Men & Abortion: All Unwanted Pregnancies Are Caused By Irresponsible Ejaculations

2) God & Guns: What It Means To Protect Your Family

3) Why I Don't Make Content For Trump Supporters

4) You're Already On Board With The Defund & Abolish Police Platform (And You Might Not Know It)

5) Why Unity Is Impossible Until Justice Is Achieved

6) What Do Republicans Want? We know what they are against. But what are they for?

7) I grew up in a gun-loving town, and I've tried to be supportive of gun rights, but have concluded that:

Gun Advocates Are Going To Force A National Gun Ban

A man I’m related to (calls himself a Republican, but doesn’t like Trump) wrote a Facebook post calling for unity. He didn't say the word unity, he used language like "building bridges" and "validating viewpoints from both sides."

1/x
He’s not the only one. Republicans everywhere are waving the unity banner. Let’s not dwell in the past, they say. Sure, we called for a mob to kill Pence and encouraged people who built bombs to storm the Capitol, but it’s time to move forward, let’s forgive and forget asap.

2/x
And I just want to say as your Internet Mom: Hey Kiddos, you're skipping some steps. Coming together WON'T happen, literally CAN NOT happen, until there is justice.

How were you taught about repentance? As a Mormon, I was taught these 5 specific steps: 1) Recognize and admit to yourself you did something wrong. 2) Feel sincerely sorry about it. 3) Stop doing this wrong thing.
4) Admit publicly that you did wrong — especially to people who were affected by this thing you did wrong. 5) Make restitution for the thing you did wrong.

As a kid, this all seemed very straightforward. The only step that was particularly challenging to me was Step 4,
because it was embarrassing. But otherwise, the approach seemed easy enough.

As an adult, it’s Step 5 that is much less straightforward. A 9 year old who stole a candy bar from her brother’s room, can simply give it back or replace it in order to make restitution.

There are a lot of people who are anti-Trump but still consider themselves Conservative, who are quite delighted with Barrett being placed on the Supreme Court.

It has me quite confused and it made me think of this tweet.

It could easily be argued that everything on that list is something Progressives stand for. And I realized I don’t get it—I don’t understand why anyone (never-trumper or otherwise) would still identify as Conservative. Whether Trump wins or loses, what is it Conservatives want?
I grew up in a small politically conservative town in Utah. My dad was a Democrat, my mom was a Republican. I was always taught that debate and opposing views were good and healthy for our country. In some instances, I can see how that’s true.

The size and makeup of Amy Coney Barrett’s family doesn’t impress me, nor does it interest me. I don’t find it qualifying or disqualifying. There are a whole lot of other things about this rushed, forced, sham of a confirmation hearing that are worthy of our attention.
Barrett has shown she's untrustworthy. Lots of “I don’t recall hearing Trump say that." And "I don't know if it’s illegal to intimidate voters…”

I mean. It’s 2020. What do you mean you "don’t have firm views on climate change?"

If she was trustworthy, and had moral convictions, she would say: I’m honored, I want the job, but let’s take this up in a few short weeks after the election.

Hey @MikeBloomberg or @BillGates or any of the billionaires. In the mood to be a hero? How about you offer to pay Trump’s $400 million debt in exchange for his whole crew (Kushner, Ivanka, Jr, Eric, Pence, etc.) resigning immediately?
Just think: with competent national leadership we could have covid-19 in check by the election, which would allow people to safely go back to school and work. Major bonus: there would be no question about a peaceful transition of power.
To be clear, even with his debts paid, there are still PLENTY of opportunities to bring criminal charges against him.

I don't want him to walk away with no justice. But I want him to walk away today. Because every day he's in office he makes our lives worse.

Hey there! I see lots of new faces. Welcome! Thanks for following. Here's a photo of my family. I've also prepared a handy list of my four most retweeted threads for you. Image
First up: A thread about protecting your family. If you don't like mentions of the bible, that's fine, just start with the 3rd tweet.

Next up: The first thread I ever wrote, and which has been my pinned tweet for two years now: A thread about irresponsible ejaculations and how they cause all unwanted pregnancies.
