If you're struggling at the moment I just want to give a shout out for energy hygiene. COVID isn't just about washing your hands. Most of us are experiencing longterm stress. Our nervous systems are getting plenty of threat cues (whether we consciously register them or not).
So do what you can to avoid adding any extra on top. This means avoiding violent/frightening media, limiting the amount of news you consume, reducing how much you're on social media, and avoiding people who you find a bit toxic.

Cues of safety - this is what your body needs.
Try listening to sound healing music (just search for 'sound healing' on any music platform), spend time in nature, cuddle, spend time with animals, paint, exercise. You could also look into practices like 'Trauma releasing exercises'. Connect with others.

Notice what activities
make you feel calm & try to do more of them

We are all in a longterm, unpredictable, mental health marathon (something survivors of sexual abuse know a lot about).
Be as loving and kind to yourself as you can. Don't blame yourself if you can't 'self-care' your way through this
we need community and support from others to heal.

Abandon previous expectations you placed on yourself or your life if they are just causing you more guilt/shame.

Knowledge of how we're affected by stress, kindness, connection, self-compassion, community, and daily practices
that help embed all of that is the path I'm choosing for myself through this.

That along with laughter and cake should do the trick : )
