@FionaPattenMLC will you support this terribly drafted bill? the unintended (but nevertheless obvious consequences) of this bill should give you pause and demand it go out to consultation.
bill is also unlawful: it has extra-territorial application (s8) though High Court says tribunals have no jurisdiction to impose penalties on residents of other Australian jurisdictions under their own local laws (Burns v Corbett). why do lawyers and MPs support this nonsense?

even though the evidence shows that the harmful 'conversion therapy' of the past is not occurring. but if Parlt requires VEOHRC to educate, VEOHRC will have to find something to educate the public about. dangerous? what would Orwell think?...

the bill defines gender identity as 'a person's gender-related identity.' gender = gender. this is set to become law. i can't even. i am embarrassed for whoever wrote this. every time i read this i cringe deeply. i wonder why lawyers support this. did they even read the bill?
