In search of “messianic figure,” don’t sell the sun to buy a candle.

1. In my opinion, “activists don't necessarily need to hold elected offices.” There’s a reason they are called activists. They are more resourceful outside the corridors of power, holding government to account.
2. For instance, no empirical data says someone like Aisha Yesufu can make a better president. Politicians thrive in their game because, it is their stock-in-trade to tell lies & twists facts. Some hailing Aisha Yesufu today, will be the ones crucifying her in office tomorrow.
3. For me, I’ll rather have her credentials intact the way it is.

So what are my trying to say? — “Nigeria does not need a Bobi Wine or a Sowore in the real sense.”

Museveni was once a revolutionary. Most bad people usually set out as revolutionists.
4. They were once good people that thought they could change the world. Now this is not me stereotyping. I hate painting everything & everyone with one brush. I hate labels & cancellations. But Nigeria need systems, & I mean strong institutions, not another messianic figure.
5. History has shown, activists become the monster they once criticized - the men they once demonized.

Nigeria need no “messianic figure.”

That was exactly how Buhari rode to power. Every country must fashion a system that works with its peculiarities.
6. Bring a hundred Sowore; with the system obtainable in Nigeria? Nothing will change.

Democracy couldn’t have worked for China, & Communism can’t possibly work in America. Nigerians keep making the same mistakes. I will always be rational in my thought processes.
7. Circumspection is my best friend. I dislike herd mentality.

As much as I love what Bobi Wine achieved in Uganda (I’ve got mad love for him ✊ & his people, for daring to dream), understand Uganda is not Nigeria, & Nigeria is not Uganda.
8. The reality is, “Nigeria is bedeviled with religious extremism, ethnic bigotry & jingoism, divisions that make meaningful growth unattainable.”

I noticed Sowore trolls are too many, perhaps much worse than Buhari & Osinbajo (BMC) trolls.
9. I see a familiar pattern playing out already. You cannot blackmail people into submission. I could care less about trolls & simply block. But this was how we got here since 2015. It is madness.

I will not trade one dictatorship for another.
10. Personally, I have nothing against Sowore. Being an egalitarian that I am, I can’t possibly be against him.

In fact, I love what he does with his Sahara Reporters. Quite frankly, he may be the last defense against a media that has been completely silenced in Nigeria.
11. Now you might be wondering where my loyalties lie. I am neither PDP nor APC. I have no party.

I don’t pretend to be a woman of the people, but I do try to be a woman for the people.

I understand Nigerians pander so much to sycophancy, praise singing & half-truths.
12. But not me. I will always say it the way I see it.

We cannot afford to be testing systems. At this juncture, we can’t afford another misdirected trajectory.

Finally, I wish all candidates for 2023 well (Sowore inclusive), may the best candidate WIN.
am I*
against a government that has completely silenced the media.*

1. Museveni declaring himself winner, shouldn’t be a breaking news at all. I noticed all the major news outlets are saying the dictator WON. Did he actually win or he DECLARED himself winner a record 6th time? He has spent 35 years on the saddle already. Image
2. By the time he completes another 5 years, he would be 81 & would have spent 40 years in power. Ugandans are faced with another 5 years of uncertainty & wandering about in the bush. And this is 2021, one would think the likes of Abacha, Idi Amin, Mobutu Sese Seko are no more. ImageImageImage
3. But it’s an Africa story - strong dictatorships perpetuate themselves in office, with aid from colonialists.

For what it's worth, Bobi Wine is a worthy challenge. Museveni didn’t see that coming. In a continent no single leader condemned Museveni for clamping down opposition ImageImageImageImage

1. I really dislike labels & cancellations.

I think we’ve beaten around issues, for far too long. Yes Sowore supported Buhari in 2015, but he’s consistently opposed Buhari’s tyranny & maladministration. For me, that’s enough.

Age shouldn’t be a LIMITER for choosing a president. ImageImageImageImage
2. Look at George Weah today. He is young (at least in the African context), he achieved everything in soccer but failing in leadership.

George Weah became the monster he once criticized. Atiku supported Buhari with cash & a private jet in 2015.
3. But for me, I’ll rather look beyond all of that & rather focus on his achievements with Obasanjo. Judge Atiku on that, & the things he wants to do.

Bobi Wine is another young, energetic revolutionist. The future of Africa is bright with more young people going into politics.

1. I’m in love with the PEACEFUL REVOLUTION going on in Uganda, through the ballot.

#ThankASoldier - a 35 year-old Bobi Wine dared to dream. He dared status quo. He challenged the establishment. He has empowered young generation of Africans. For me, that’s more than a WIN!!✊ ImageImageImageImage
2. He is inspiring a young generation of Africans with the CAN-DO SPIRIT. Much of Africa is under occupation at the hands of Museveni & oppressive regimes. Old incompetent guards have held Africa down for decades, with support from globalists - the old system of alliances & pacts ImageImage
3. Africa still suffers from suffrage (the right to vote). So the choice for young generation of Africans is to continue to Soro Soke (speak out).

Continue to lend your voices to issues affecting the continent. Stand as ONE, carry the HOPES of Africa with you, everywhere you go. ImageImage

1. Biden’s first 100 days in Office will be turbulent. He will face domestic & Int’l cold wars, & that’s just the tip of the iceberg. I hate the fact Trump is setting landmines in the way. Joe Biden have a lot to deal with in his first 100 days, & it won’t be easy at all.
2. The EU climate deal, Iran & Cuba sanctions, finding the balance between South/North Korea relations. How does the US continue to maintain relations with South Korea, after using the South to broker talks with North Korea? South Korea doesn’t exactly agree with DPRK methods.
3. So South Korea would rather not grant concessions to the North. South Korea has much to lose. She is currently in a nasty brawl with Iran, after seizing $25 billion Iranian money trapped in its banks. Iran went ahead & seized South Korean vessel & its crew in Iranian waters.

1. You shouldn’t agree with Aisha Yesufu on all topics, personally I don’t agree with her on personal reasons, “her involvement with the #BringBackOurGirls BBOG - Goodluck Jonathan Saga.” You can as well disagree with her on LGBTQ - Queer & all of that.
2. What isn’t right is dragging her in the mud to advance whatever grudge you have against her. Calling Aisha Yesufu a “Raggedy Bitch” was low in my opinion. Y’all have opened the floodgates for people on all divide to insult her & try to bring her reputation into disrepute.
3. Arewa moral police is dragging her, LGBTQ - Queer are dragging her also, even those who don’t even fully grasp the concept of LGBTQ - Queer rights are equally throwing jabs at her. Many of you are evening running wild, suggesting she’d be deplatformed. I won’t support that.

STATE SECRETS

1. It’s no secret the US, China, Russia, North Korea, Iran, much of the civilized world, are involved in espionage (theft of state secrets)

Each nation tries to outpace, get ahead of the other in the race to space, advanced medicine, technology, advanced weaponry.
2. Each nation have a network of spies embedded in other nations to gather these state secrets. Sometimes spies even switch sides. This is where espionage comes in.

Does Nigeria have network of spies, a single spy embedded in any of these technologically advanced nations?
3. Nigerians in diaspora is an array of fine technocrats, academics, well educated & can match their peers in any discipline throughout the world.

They fit the purpose perfectly. They can serve as incubators for breeding new network of spies.
