Just received the most **baffling** response from @TwitterSupport Twitter ads in the world. My eyes literally wide, my jaw to the floor. More to come on this soon. For now I will just say, what the fuck.
Yes, this has to do with silencing @JordanChariton & my Flint reporting.
Okay, it's time. Delay is only bc I'm exhausted from COVID & working non-stop on Flint story & pushing Flint story so people see it. & @JordanChariton is on literally no sleep and sick and we are both broken fighters. So he will chime in later, as only Jordan can, but here we go!
We don't just investigate & break stories & then move on with our lives, we want the entire world to see them. Not for us — for FLINT. People need to know what happened & what is happening. People need to know what led to many illnesses & deaths in the majority poor & Black city.
So I tried to boost my tweet about the story here with an ad here on Twitter so more people would see it. Here's how that went in a thread I posted at the time:
I of course appealed the rejection of the ad I tried to run to boost the story - obviously it isn't a "political" ad. And I tried to get my ENTIRE ACCOUNT unbanned from running ads in the future from a supposed" policy violation. Which obviously was released to this.
To be honest I'm worried they will nuke my entire account for... No reason but trying to help Flint. Seriously. Anyway, on the ads, for emphasis I later responded to the support ticket @TwitterSupport with this email:
Stories like the Flint story are of course timely so I found two gentleman who work in the Twitter ads policy department and emailed them directly - with what I think was a professional email considerate of their time and explaining the situation.
I did not hear back. My hope had been that this was all an automated mistake & getting human attention from @TwitterSupport in the ads department would fix everything and get the ad approved and my ad account reinstated. That didn't happen. Here is what I received earlier today.
I have to assume at this point that multiple humans at @TwitterSupport Twitter ads have looked at my account, have looked at my Tweet on the Flint water crisis story that I tried to boost (my pinned tweet), and have looked at my words telling them in great detail about it all.
.@TwitterSupport Twitter ads have made a decision to bury/suppress vital information & reporting about the #FlintWaterCrisis & ban my future ability to boost investigative and in-field reporting. I am looking at all angles to get this decision reversed. Suggestions? Let me know.

Sorry for grammatical errors and typos in the thread- as I said I am (literally) sick & tired. Any help in getting the word out about this is very much appreciated 🙏
