Sometime last year, one of my students approached me to draw up a contract for him. At first, I was sceptical and wondered what kind of business he was involved in and whether he would be able to pay my fee. I had always assumed he was being sponsored by his parents.
I almost dismissed his request but I had a check in my spirit. To test his seriousness, I asked him to come to Chambers for further discussion. On the agreed date, he was there 10 minutes before time.
When it was time to negotiate fees, he came up with the usual mantra of how we would do more businesses together and even bring more clients.
I told him to pay my fees first before bringing new clients. To my greatest surprise, he transferred the money immediately.

Some days later, he called to say that he was bringing a friend with another contract. Since then, this young man has brought not less than 10 businesses, excluding his own business that is constantly expanding.
However, his appearance has not changed: simple, understated and quiet. He always has earphones when lectures are not going on and only talks when asked directly. Why am I telling you this? The person carrying your blessings may not look like what you expect.
In fact, they may be people you have “seen finish” and rated as nothing. In 2021, learn to look beyond appearances and open your mind to meaningful relationships. Looks can be deceptive.
Don't treat another person with disdain just because his appearance doesn't agree with your idea of a successful person. You might just be sending your destiny helper away.
