I just completed the #100DaysOfNoCode challenge and wanted to share a few thoughts about it.
It might be of help for your own #nocode journey🚀, or maybe you feel like you didn't ask for it and you decide to unfollow me 😅
Anyway, a letter to my self in day 0 🧵
[1] JUST WRITE IT DOWN✍️
💡Got an idea you wanna work on later? Take notes before you forget it or something/someone distracts you
🗺️ Want to go from A to B? Identify and document the single units that compound the result you're looking for (aka a plan)
Don't overestimate your ability to remember and to escape from mental models and biases. By writing things down yo get clarity about:
✅The things you're interested in
✅The amount of effort needed
✅What went well or not
If you care about improving it, then document it🤓
[2] Grow in community
Even if you're extremely singular, it's very likely someone else has already gone through that path you want to follow.
Surround yourself (yes, mostly virtually) with people who inspire you: hear their stories, know their struggles, help if possible
Connecting with like-minded folks help you:
✅Get your questions solved
✅Discover new resources
✅Learn by teaching
✅Find collaboration opportunities
Go find that circle of people that make you better
[3] Craft your voice on the internet
This is only closely related to the previous reflection
If you aim to build or create online, how will the world know who you are?
What's that thing only you can offer? 🤔
💻 In general, you can cultivate your online presence by:
✅Start an online publication
✅Participate in online communities
✅Run your own online community
✅Use your own social media (this is an early attempt of it)
✅Collaborate in projects
✅Offer help
[4] Consistency pays off 💪
Shoot for the long-term goal, enjoy and trust the process.
Don't be so hard on yourself, celebrate small victories (not too small), get enough rest.
100 is just a number, you're the one giving it a meaning
Reading this far? Got an idea you want to explore with #NoCode? Just go and play with it, and if you feel stuck you can always join @100daysnocode for help
Hasta la próxima! 👋
