2/ Iโ€™ve had a terrible experience with #GeneralMotors and my #YukonDenli. .@MinchinGMC sold my #GM vehicle to someone else AFTER I put down a deposit. I learned after driving it that โ€œreplacementโ€ didnโ€™t have adaptive cruise control that was promised. ๐Ÿ‹
3/Returned it and bought a new one but had to wait 2 months. Engine misfired at 6k miles. After 2 weeks, local dealer (.@Tremonte_Auto in Branford, CT) couldnโ€™t fix the problem. ๐Ÿ‹
4/#GM Corp blamed the gas and said I needed to use 91 octane at a minimum. Another dealer looked and said nope, just a loose spark plug wire. Tires gone at 18k! Followed by a few smaller issues right away. ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹
5/AC air compressor died at 37k mile โ€“ 1k AFTER warranty ends. Waited 3 weeks in SUMMER HEAT for new one. Front end collision/adaptive cruise control died at 46k miles. Reason: broken sensor bracket which is BEHIND the bumper. ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹
6/Was told they break after severe front-end impact but THE CAR NEVER HAD FRONT-END IMPACT! And there was no damage to the bumper. Yet they did find markings suggesting the frame had been straightened.
7/As I had even more issues, I told service manager I never had these issues w/ #XC90. #GM rep said โ€œVolvos are well-built.โ€ Clearly #GM's are not. ๐Ÿ‹
8/ Note: when I did have a small issue with Volvo, they credited me a full month of payments after a part was on backorder, now that is customer service, .@volvocarusa and .@GengrasVolvo
9/At 47k, one #GM dealer (.@SaybrookBuickGMC Vachon Chevrolet in Old Saybrook, CT) wanted a $150 diagnostic fee for what was clearly a powertrain issue. Went to a different dealer who agreed it was powertrain and offered to diagnose for free and then later tried to bill me.
10/Tech said 2 bent piston rods & crankshaft โ€œworst seen in 20 years working on cars.โ€ After car repair, noticed not completely fixed & after they worked on it, DVD playerโ€™s screen no longer works. Dealer (.@Grossmanautos in Old Saybrook, CT) never responded to calls.
11/Now, at 48k, retractable running boards work intermittently. All in all, inferior materials, bad engineering. ๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿ‹
12/ Air vent fins are broken. Trunk closes on its own, hitting my kids, wife in the head several times.
13/And after all of that, I tried contacting #GM both the old-fashioned way in private and on social media. In response to a prior post, .@GM told me to contact them. They refused to do more than refer me back to the 800 number I already called.
14/ #GM is rip-off. Itโ€™s bad enough that the #YukonDenali is garbage, but their customer service is severely lacking. Quality is terrible and customer service is horrific. #ThisISGMC #GM #GeneralMotors .@gmc .@mtbarra .@CARandDRIVER /end
